# Google Calendar MCP coming soon

Pear is preparing Google provider support for the same hosted MCP endpoint used by
Apple iCloud and Microsoft 365. Apple support covers Calendar, Contacts, iCloud Mail,
and only legacy reminder data still exposed through CalDAV; Pear's hosted CalDAV
connection cannot access Apple's upgraded Reminders store.

Google support is not generally available yet. Signing up or purchasing Pro does
not unlock it. No public release date is promised.

## Planned first Google release

Pear plans to support:

- Google Calendar event workflows.
- Send-only Gmail for emails the user explicitly requests.
- Google Tasks.
- Google Contacts.

The current Stage A OAuth grant uses `gmail.send`. It cannot search or read the
Gmail inbox, save Gmail drafts, change message state, archive or delete messages.
Those are separate Stage B scope, verification and security decisions, not
features included in the first release.

Google remains behind provider feature flags and an exact-user canary. Backend
implementation is not public availability. Each AI client still needs its own
setup, eligible plan and permissions. Multiple provider connections require Pro.

Before authorising a connection, read Pear's [privacy policy](/privacy) and
[data-handling policy](/data-handling), including Google scopes, encrypted token
storage, selected-client transfer, approved-write records and revocation.

## Current alternatives

Pear supports Apple iCloud and Microsoft 365 today. Choose a maintained Pear
setup guide for your AI client; the guide records the documented authentication
path, while current tool and write permissions remain client-specific.
