1. Create your Pear account
Claude Free, Pro, and Max users can add Pear themselves; Free allows one custom connector. On Team or Enterprise, ask an owner or an authorized Enterprise role to add Pear first. Then create your Pear account and connect Apple iCloud with an App-Specific Password or Microsoft 365 with OAuth. Claude connects to Pear with OAuth.

Claude custom connectors using remote MCP are available on Free, Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans. Free users are limited to one custom connector. Team organizations need an Owner or Primary Owner to add the connector first. Enterprise also permits custom roles with Manage access to Libraries.
Free, Pro, and Max plans
Add Pear to ClaudeThis opens Claude with Pear's name and server URL filled in. Review the details, continue through authentication, and select Sign in now with Use Claude's published identity. Add the connector and complete Pear sign-in and consent. If you are signed out of Claude, sign in first to continue to the form.
If the form does not open, add Pear manually:
- Open Customize -> Connectors.
- Click +, then Add custom connector.
- Enter Pear as the name, paste the server URL, and click Continue.
- Review the detected authentication settings and continue. Choose Sign in now.
- For OAuth client, choose Use Claude's published identity. Leave request headers empty for this OAuth connection.
- Click Add and finish Pear sign-in and consent. If shown, click Connect beside Pear.
Team and Enterprise plans
Add Pear as an organization ownerAn Owner, Primary Owner, or authorized Enterprise role reviews and adds Pear. To add it manually, open Organization settings -> Connectors. After clicking Add, choosing Custom and Web, enter the Pear remote MCP server URL. Continue through authentication and choose Use Claude's published identity for OAuth. Each member then connects Pear from Customize -> Connectors with their own account permissions.
These links only fill in the setup form. You still review the connector and approve access before Claude can use Pear. See Anthropic's install-link documentation.
Claude documents CIMD as its preferred automatic registration path when the server advertises CIMD and public-client token authentication, which Pear does. Pear does not expose DCR, so do not select Register automatically. Use Claude's published identity without a client secret. On an older form with optional client credentials, leave those fields blank.

https://pearmcp.com/api/mcpAfter setup, enable Pear for a conversation from Claude's connector picker. If a server URL changes later, remove and re-add the custom connector so Claude scans the latest tool definitions.
3. Check your first result
Enable Pear in the conversation and start with a read-only request. Check that the result comes from the account you connected. An empty inbox or calendar is a valid result; a missing tool or authorization error needs resolving before trying a write.
- List today's events from my connected calendar. Do not create or change anything.
- List unread messages in my iCloud inbox from today. Show the senders and subjects without changing the messages.
What Pear unlocks inside Claude
The connector exposes only the tools and actions allowed by the current Claude plan, organization policy, connector settings, and tool approvals.
- Create, update, move, search, and delete calendar events directly from Claude.
- Manage Microsoft To Do and usable legacy Apple CalDAV lists, including batch actions and due-date workflows.
- Search contacts, find free time, and combine those with mail actions inside the same connector.
- Use one hosted remote MCP connector for Apple iCloud and Microsoft 365 today.

- Ask Claude to compare your calendar, unread mail, and task list before drafting a weekly plan.
- Have Claude find a meeting time, create the event, and write the follow-up email in one conversation.
- Use Claude to turn long project notes into Microsoft To Do tasks or reminders in a usable legacy Apple CalDAV list.
Use Claude with iCloud Mail
Connect Apple iCloud in Pear with an App-Specific Password. If your Apple Account uses a different email address, enter your actual iCloud Mail address in the mail settings. Your password belongs in Pear's connection form, never in a Claude conversation.
Start by asking: "List unread messages in my iCloud inbox from today. Read the message from Alex and prepare a reply for my review. Do not send it yet."
A Pear email draft is a review artifact that does not send mail or save a draft in Apple Mail. Check the sender account, recipients, subject, and message before approving a send. Available reads and writes depend on the tools and permissions you enable.

Why Claude + Pear?
Claude is strong at reasoning over messy, multi-step requests. With Pear, that reasoning can turn into finished calendar, task, contact, and mail actions instead of a plan you still have to copy into another app.
